Robert was a hard worker and provider throughout his life, beginning at the age of 13 and never quitting until few weeks ago due to his health. He was well known for his stubbornness and doing things his way. He was a fan of the WWE and NASCAR, which he watched faithfully for many, many years. Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the 3-187th inf, 101st Airborn Division for the U.S. Army, receiving the commendation medal and air medal.
Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, the former Lynda A. Hart and 4 children, Robert Lawson II, William Lawson, Susan Trubridge and Patricia Lawson; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also surviving are his siblings, Frances Butler, Virginia Coons, John Lawson, Marjorie Quigley, Barbara DeChambo and Charles Lawson, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family. Robert was predeceased by his parents and siblings Arthur Lawson, Alma Northrup, Anna Cacckello and Gertrude Sager.
Robert will be fondly remembered by his family and friends through their love, memories and stories of him.
