E.S. SPARKS -- Word was received in Baltimore yesterday of the death in Philadelphia, of Mr. E.S. Sparks, who for years was a resident of the old Eighth ward of this city. Mr. Sparks was visiting his son, Mr. E.F. Sparks, 2451 North Tenth Street, when he was taken ill. He was born in Baltimore sixty-seven years ago.

For a long time Mr. Sparks was a deputy warden in the penitentiary and later held a position in the Custom House.

Four sons, Messrs. Edwin F. and Harry C. Sparks, Philadelphia; Frank G. Sparks, Baltimore and George W. Sparks, the actor, who is in a private sanitarium in Boyd, Wis., as a result of an accident six years ago; and two daughters, Misses Minne and Belle Sparks, of Baltimore, survive him.

His body will be brought to Baltimore tomorrow and taken to the home of his niece, Mrs. R. Pindell, 315 East Biddle Street, from where the funeral will take place.
