Born in Louisville, she was a retired secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan B. Pennington
She is survived by her step-daughter, Diana Cotton; brother, William Underwood; sister, Margie Rice; and several nieces and nephews.
A service for Emma will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 16th at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11a.m. until service time, Monday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. John Paul II.
