Alice Emily (Melichar) Beitzel, 79, 549 Grove St., Lomira, Wis. died Tues., April 16, 1996 at home. She was born Dec. 30, 1916 in Tisch Mills, Wis. to the late Adolph and Tillie (Roidt) Melichar. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Byron. Before moving to Lomira she resided in Green Bay and Two Rivers, Wis.

Survivors include four children, Sandra and Robert Holmes, Green Bay; Claudia and Donald Whitty, Byron, Michael and Kay Lynn Beitzel, Louisville, Colo.; Susan and Jim Schmitt, Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Todd and Teresa Pilger, Ryan, Shannon, Erin Whitty, Rhonda, Vicki Beitzel; two great-grandchildren, Justin, Jessica Pilger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Frank, Louis, Lester, James; one sister, Helen Balzan.

Friends may call at St. John Catholic Church, Byron, Saturday, April 20, 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Service 12 noon at the church with the Rev. Donald Zerkel officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Memorial can be made to Hospice Hope, Fond du Lac. Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira handling arrangements.
