Joshua David "Big Josh" Austin, 29, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at his home on Monday, January 12, 2009. He was a graduate of Charleston High School where he played football and set many of the schools weight lifting records. He was employed by Super Saver in the meat department and he loved reading and fishing.
Survivors inclide: his father, David Austin of Cleveland; his mother, Regina Roberts of Escatawpa, Mississippi; his beloved longtime companion, Mary Frost of Cleveland; paternal grandparents, Reverend O.H. Austin and Lucille Austin of Columbia, Mississippi; maternal grandparents, Frances Loper and Larry Loper, Ellis Jones all of Sebastopol, Mississippi; two brothers, Jonathan Austin and his wife Julie of Riceville; 1 Sister Brianna Prigden and husband Carl of Pascogoula Ms; Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The family recieved friends on Wednesday, January 14,2009 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, Wildwood Avenue Chapel. There was a viewing Friday, January 16,2009 from 10-11 a.m. at Reids Chapel Church of God in Conehatta, Mississippi. Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
