Funeral services for Elmer F. Hinze, 66, of Prairietown, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairietown. Friends may call at Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton, from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and until noon Sunday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral service. Mr. Hinze, principal of St Peter's Lutheran School in Prairietown for 13 years, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Community Memorial Hospital, Staunton, after a short illness. He had been a school principal for 46 years.
Born 27 June 1907 in Beecher, he was the son of the late Ernest and Emma Ruppercht Hinze.
He was married to Adele Hasse on 22 August 1931 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She survives. Other survivors are daughters; and four grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairietown, the organist for the church and a member of numerous church organizations. Burial will be in Prairietown Cemetery.
