Guy Lumbert, age 14, 2920 Cagey Road, Bellingham, died in Bellingham on March 14, 1991 as a result of an auto accident. He was born in Bellingham on Sept 22, 1976. He was a lifetime resident of Lummi Reservation and was in 8th grade at Vista Middle School in Ferndale where he also played football. He had attended the Tribal School until 6th grade.

He was a member of the First American Spirit Team (FAST), and attended the International Youth Group. He was a helper at the family gatherings and was a very involved member of the Earl Thomas family.

He is survived by his father Garry Lumbert of Las Vegas, NV; brothers and sisters Michael Peters of Sedro-Woolley, Carol and Richard Peters of Lummi, Brian Peters of Port Alberni, BC and Brian Lumbert of Lummi Reservation; his grandparents Earl and Theresa Thomas and Maxine Kelsey of Lummi Reservation as well as many uncles, aunts, and other extended family members.

Prayer Services will be held Sunday, March 17, 6 pm at the Lummi Neighborhood Facility and Funeral Mass will be offered by Fr. Brian McGovern Monday, March 18, 10 am at the Lummi Neighborhood Facility. Burial will follow at Lummi Reservation Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the June Lumbert Trust Fund.
