Ada Louise Johnson Barber, 94, of Westminster, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare.
Ada was born on September 3, 1923, in Baltimore and was the daughter of the late Roland H. and Mary Louise (Ensor) Johnson.
She was the wife of the late William Robert “Bob” Barber, Sr., who predeceased her August 20, 2000.
Ada was a graduate of the Union Memorial School of Nursing. She spent her career at various healthcare facilities and specialized in obstetrics, until her retirement in 1964.
Surviving her is son William Robert Barber, Jr. (Will) and his wife Carole of Mt. Airy; grandchildren Kelly Spring, Kristy Niederberger and her husband Michael, and Cheryl Emanuel and her husband David; great-grandchildren Shawn Ward, Christopher Neiderberger, Samantha Neiderberger, Annabelle Neiderberger, Timothy Niederberger, Sarah Niederberger, and Mya Emanuel.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Sandy Mount United Methodist Church, 2101 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg MD 21048. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
