James William "Jimmy" Gooch, 76, of Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on August 27, 1941, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late Alvin Gooch and the late Thelma McQuery Gooch. Jimmy was a commercial fisherman and guide.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Graham officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Collins Gooch of Hornbeak; a son, Danny Gooch (Lynn) of Troy; a daughter, Melissa LaMastus (David) of Hornbeak; a brother, Roger Gooch of Troy; three sisters, Margaret Gooch Hunter of Tiptonville, Martha Gooch Spann of Smyrna and Barbara Gooch Hanks of Tiptonville; seven grandchildren, Taylor Gooch, Dalton Gooch, Callie Johnson, Alyssa Gray, Austin Gray, Jessica LaMastus and Matt LaMastus; and a great-grandchild, Kynadi Burress.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcie Gray; a sister, Ruth Darnall; and two brothers, Cecil Gooch and Frank Gooch.
