John Shelby Street, Sr., age 89, of Paducah, KY, a native of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, KY. Mr. Street was a 1946 Graduate of Trigg County High School & later attended University of Kentucky where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. After graduation, he entered the United States Army where he served with the Military Police and as the Provost Marshal during the Korean War. After serving his country, he returned to the University of Kentucky where he received his degree in Pharmacy. Mr Street was a Pharmacist for 50 years with Payless Discount Drugs in Princeton, KY; Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY and with the St. Nicholas Family Clinic in Paducah, KY. He was a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church in Paducah, KY.
He is survived by: One Son - John Shelby Street, Jr. (Lorie), Ashland, KY; Two Daughters- Virginia Street Hughes (Neal), Knoxville, TN; Carol Street Adams (Barry), Paducah, KY; Eight Grandchildren- John Shelby Street, III; Grace Street; Matthew Street; Abigail Street; Elizabeth Shelby Hughes Wolf (Ryan); Patrick Neal Hughes; Corey Adams; Brenna Adams & One Great Granddaughter - Avery Jane Wolf.
He was preceded in death by: Parents- Shelby & Dorothy Jefferson Street; Wife - Pat Dalzell Street & One Sister - Dorothy Street Abell.
