Mr. Nash moved to Indiana from Michigan in 1966. He graduated from Southern Wells High School in 1971, received a bachelor's degree from Ball State and a master's from Purdue University. He taught one year at Woodside Elementary School and 23 years at Thorntown Elementary School.
He was a member, elder, Sunday school teacher and former deacon at First Presbyterian Church, and a Youth for Christ board member.
He was born August 30, 1953, in Goodrich, Michigan to Ed and Jessie Cassiday Nash. He married Patty Rice on August 19, 1978, and she survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Petroleum; a daughter, Beth of Frankfort; a son, Josh of Frankfort; two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Laura) Neunschwander of Ossian and Mrs. Rick (LuAnn) Rehm of Decatur; two brothers, Jim (Delora) of Liberty Center and Jeff (Robyn) of Glendale, Arizona.
