Brother Freddie Graham, age 88, was born August 23, 1929 to the late Ernest Graham, Sr. and Elouise Robinson Graham. He was raised by his father, stepmother Mrs. Idella Graham and his loving grandmother, the late Mrs. Lena Graham Priester.
Seeking God’s guidance, at an early age he joined the Miller Swamp Baptist Church, where he later served as a trustee of the deacon board until his passing.
Freddie attended Allendale Training Schools, served in the United States Army and South Carolina National Guard for 28 years before retiring. He served 42 years as a bailiff for Allendale County Courthouse. Freddie also worked for E.I. Dupont in Aiken, South Carolina for more than 30 years. He received several awards and pins for safety and his dedicated service. Freddie was united in Holy Matrimony to Mamie Smokes and they were blessed with four children that they raised together; and they raised several grandchildren together in their home as well.
God knew that he was getting tired and his race was at the end. On Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2:10 p.m., God called “Freddie, come home. Your work on Earth is finished.”
Cherishing everlasting memories are a loving wife, Mamie Graham of Allendale, SC; three daughters: Mabel (Louis) Dix, Malinda (Bentrice) Frazier and Willa Youmans all of Allendale, SC; three sons: McCorskey (Barbara) Graham and Gardner McMillan both of Allendale, SC and Tyrone (Lula) Montague of Eden, GA; four sisters: Adell (Henry) Harris, Ruth Hines and Elenor Hill all of Allendale, SC and Eva Nell Walker of Charlotte, NC; two brothers: John Graham and Don Graham of Barnwell, SC; 25 grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.
