Marion was an English teacher and a Girl Scout leader. As a business woman, she co-owned a craft consignment shop for several years. She was an avid tennis player and sailor. She loved painting, stenciling, theorem painting, Judge Judy, feeding the birds, gardening, cheesecake for breakfast, a really sharp cheddar,dark chocolate and red wine in the afternoon. Marion was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the Historical Society for Early American Decoration.
She adored her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. In later years, she enjoyed traveling with her companion, the late William Gilday. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Gunnie, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She will be remembered for her quick wit and her ability to make lasting friends wherever she went. “If you can’t laugh, you’re in trouble.” Marion is survived by her daughters Cathy (David) Bader of Nashville, Tennessee and Carolyn Rogers of Severna Park, Maryland.
