Mr. Milton Jackson was born March 19, 1927, Marshall, Texas to the parentage of the late Charles and Caroline Young Jackson. Milton was one of six siblings, who preceded him in death.

He joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Marshall, Texas at an early age, and received Christ in his life. He attended the public schools of Harrison County.

Milton enlisted and served in the United States Army, receiving a Purple Heart for services rendered. Upon arrival to the States, he worked the majority of his life as a professional chef; with offers from renown universities to become a part of their organization: the most prominent position being that with Pine Crest County Club, where he served almost 40 years. He held various others jobs where he shared his love for people, and the art of cooking. An extension of his love for community was exhibited when he cooked and fed people “free” on his days off, out of his home.

He leaves to cherish and memories live in the heart of his son: Apostle Randy Writt (Linda); two grandchildren: Shawndra Bradley of Dallas, Texas and Kelsie Whitten of Longview, Texas; two great-grandchildren; special friends; Mrs. Ora Lee Jackson, James Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
