Actor. He was well known to television viewers for his various character roles on many television series through the years such as "Star Trek," "The Munsters," and "The Facts of Life." He served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force in the early 1950s. During the latter part of the decade, he was discovered by actress Lucille Ball and made his first acting appearance on the television series "Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse" in 1959. His many other television credits included such series as "Harrigan and Son," "Arrest and Trial," "Nanny and the Professor," "Love, American Style," "Ironside," "Emergency," "Barnaby Jones," and "Falcon Crest." His first appearance on the big screen came in the film "The Flying Fontaines" (1959). He went on to appear in numerous films during his career such as "Follow the Boys" (1963), "Count Yorga, Vampire" (1970), "The Return of Count Yorga" (1971), "The Thing with Two Heads" (1972), "Roller Boogie" (1979) and "Operation Warzone" (1988). He also composed and wrote music for various productions during his career. He was married to both actresses Jo Anne Worley and Joyce Bulifant during his lifetime. He passed away after a battle with prostate cancer.
