Our beloved dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend left us for his heavenly home on July 28, 2017. Karl Larseus was born February 17, 1919 in Karmoy, Norway to Johan Kornelius and Hanna Lovise Hansen. He spent his first 30 years in Norway where he owned a small trucking and transport business.
Karl married Solveig Danielsen, his wife of 67 years in 1944. Together they emigrated to the US in 1953 with their young daughters. They settled in Ballard, later moved to Edmonds where they lived for over 40 years, and spent the last few years in Mill Creek. He worked in the tugboat industry for his entire career in the US, skippering for Foss Launch and Tug until he retired at age 62.
Karl loved being with his family and friends. In retirement, he and Solveig spent many wonderful winters traveling in their motorhome and staying in Desert Hot Springs, CA. He always had projects to work on and was happiest giving others a helping hand. He never felt old enough to move into a retirement community.
He will be dearly missed by many, especially his four daughters, Hanne Lise (Jim), Judith (Jim), Kari (Dan), and Susan (Rob), 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law Irene in Norway and many nieces and nephews.
