Carrie Elizabeth Cummings, 73, of Arthurdale, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 1989, at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born June 10, 1915, at Bretz, a daughter of the late William and Mae Warnick. She was a member of the Mill Chapel United Brethren Church of Reedsville and also the Lady's Auxiliary of Reedsville.

She is survived by two sons, Carl W. Cummings of Arthurdale and James E. Cummings of Valley Point; three daughters, Donna J. Starling of Valdosta, Ga., Connie Price of Mt. Gilead, Oh., and Carolyn S. Taylor of Rt. 1, Kingwood; one foster sister, Carmelita Moran of Arthurdale; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Cummings; one daughter, Nancy Pyles of Lorain, Oh., two brothers, and one sister.

Friends may call at the Kiger Williams Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Tuesday the body will be moved to the Mill Chapel United Brethren Church in Reedsville, where it will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m., the time of services, with Pastor Thomas Irwin officiating. Burial will be in the Arthurdale Cemetery.
