Elsa M. Williams, 71, of Loves Park, passed away June 1, 2018. Born December 22, 1946, in Joliet, she was the daughter of Edward and Beatrice (Bliss) Lewis. Elsa moved to North Manchester, Indiana where she worked at Peabody Seating Company as an equipment, Mig, and Shear Operator. She later became a Shift Supervisor/Manager of the Main View Restaurant. Wanting to further her career, Elsa attended a 14 week class and worked at Peabody Retirement Home as a CNA/QMA. Being the wonderful mother she was, Elsa relocated to Rockford, Illinois to be closer to her children, where she worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier, Pharmacist Technician for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends along with attending church where she was a proud member. Elsa is survived by her children, Donna (Frank) Martinez, Dana Williams and Dean Williams; grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Aizik and Keegan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clarence Lewis.
A Celebration of Elsa's life was held at Christ United Methodist Church - Our Master's Center, 5973 Darlene Dr., Rockford.
