Lawrence J. Hamilton Jr., was born November 27, 1953, to Lawrence, Sr. and Rose Kinnerson Hamilton in Lafeyette, Louisiana.

Lawrence attended Galveston Public Schools graduating from Ball High School with the class of 1972. After graduating he served his country with the United States Air Force being honorably discharged. After returning home to Galveston, Lawrence attended Galveston College. He was an entrepreneur, starting his own T-shirt business, painting company, and was an excellent cook, working at several restaurants, and finally as a caregiver for his parents. His love and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Joseph, and grandparents.

On June 29, 2018 Lawrence made his transition from earth to heaven at the Michael D Debalkey VA Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Lawrence leaves to cherish his life, his parents Lawrence, Sr. and Rose Hamilton; sisters, Elizabeth Ann Cunningham of La Marque, Gwendolyn Hightower (Charles) of Houston; uncle,Manuel Payne (Mary) of Beaumont, Texas; aunts, Rita Gilbert of Beaumont, Texas, Verline Brown and Evelyn Brown both of Houston, Texas; nephews, Odell Jamal Hamilton and Bernard Cunningham; nieces, Ginia Hamilton, Latonya Cunningham, and LaShonda Cunningham; special friends, Rufus Browning and Ken Blakes; a host of great-nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
