Vera E. Koenig, 96, of Aurora passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Provena Mercy Center. She was born April 10, 1911 in Aurora the daughter of the late Thomas and Dora Muir.
Vera worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed getting her hair done at Gracie's as well as dining at the local restaurants.
Survivors include her sister, Margaret Strope of Batavia; thirteen loving nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Koenig; her sisters, Gladys (Edwin) Lancaster, Grace (Julius) Jones, Gertrude (Frank) Kryszewski, Helen Stoneman, and Dorothy (John) Korody.
A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
