2018 in Perryton. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 13,
2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas with
Rev. Kenneth Dill and Rev. Wes Stevens officiating. Arrangements
are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas.
Mrs. Wood was born on October 18, 1944 in Dallam County,
Texas to Albert Merry and Dacre Russell Merry. She married her
husband, Thomas Wood, on April 29, 1993 in Clayton, New
Mexico, and she worked as a server at K-Bob's Steakhouse for 20 +
years. She was a cowgirl at heart and loved horses.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Thomas Wood of Perryton,
Texas; four sons, Albert Waugh of Hugoton, Kansas, Flint Wood
of Amarillo, Texas, Brandon Wood of Perryton, Texas, and Janson
Boggs of Leedey, Oklahoma; one daughter, Amy Wood of
Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Bob Merry of Sonora, Texas; and
two sisters, Charlotte Melott of Fruita, Colorado and Helen Bacon
of Nebraska; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter,
Brenda Ronne, and one brother, Joe Merry.
