Mary Louise Weller, 85, of Harrison, formerly of Burlington, passed away at home on Monday, July 9, 2018, under the care of Mid-Michigan Hospice and family.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 1 PM at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City. Interment will be at Burlington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, also on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at The Lighthouse.
Mary was born on September 26, 1932 in Eaton County to Sydney and Esther (Puffer) Woodman. On December 18, 1950, she married Charles Weller in Burlington. He preceded her in death in 2010. Mary worked at Lamb Knit in Colon, as well as spent many years as a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, quilting, doing crafts, going for country drives and traveling. After residing in Burlington for many years, she and Charles relocated to Harrison in the 1980s, where she resided until her death.
Survivors include Mary’s daughter, Loretta (Dwight) Scherer of Burlington; her siblings, Ann Ensign, Leona Marshall, Dave Woodman, Jack Woodman, Shirley Woodman and Jerry Woodman; her grandchildren, David Scherer, Daniel Scherer, Bobbiejo Briggs, Nathan Scherer, Rodney Alan Weller, Jr., Charles Weller and Dorsie Davis; many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Neal Rodney Weller, Karen Davis, Mary Ellen Weller and Rodney Weller; grandchildren Theresa Davis and John Henry Scherer; and her siblings, Ray Woodman, Jenny Woodman, and Gary James Woodman.
