Joseph Kelly Meeker was born on September 23, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Herbert Washington Meeker (1930-2018) and Maria Luisa (Morales) Meeker (1930–2014).
He played football for Father Ryan’s High School and St Joseph’s School wearing #35. He was a member of the 1981 Father Ryan’s team that went undefeated through the regular season and lost in the championship game.
Joseph was married to Tina -- , and took great pride in being a nurse and helping others. He was also a singer and songwriter who enjoyed playing guitar.
Living in Madison, he was 54 years old when he passed away on July 7, 2018 in Nashville.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers Ralph Meeker and Charles Meeker, while survivors included his wife, two daughters, a son, a brother, two sisters and a brother-in-law, three grandchildren, four nephews, two nieces, a sister-in-law and the mother of his children.
Funeral Mass was at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Madison, and burial was in Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview.
