Melba Granny Steitler, age 69 of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 27, 2010, at her daughters home. She was born December 19, 1940 in Texarkana, Texas and lived in Texarkana most of her life.

She was a homemaker and a retired inspector for Mayo Manufacturing Inc. and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gladys Page, two brothers, Everett Lewis and Earl Page, and one sister, Marie Curtis.

She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty four years, Robert Grant Steitler of Texarkana, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-law: Delma and Bubba Green of Texarkana, Arkansas; Sandy and Carl Eaton of Doddridge, Arkansas; one sister: Dot Parker of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; three brothers: Mearl Page of Texarkana, Arkansas; Buddy Page of Texarkana, Texas; and Charles Page of Texarkana, Texa; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a number other relatives and a host of friends.

A celebration service will be 1:00 P. M. Monday at Highland Park Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Myers and Rev. Donnie Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
