Gaffney, SC – Martha Wilson Owens, 79, of 128 Owens Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Franklin "Frank" Edward Owens, Sr. and daughter of the late Broadus Odell Wilson and Ethel Dayberry Wilson. She retired from Hamricks, loved her family, loved traveling to Florida, and was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Frankie Owens Jr., of Gaffney, Jeff Owens Sr. and wife Therese of Boiling Springs, SC, Timothy Scott Owens and wife Teresa of Gaffney, Gregory Dell Owens of Enoree, SC; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr.(Melissa), Heather (Chip), Heath, Holden, Robert (Shelly), Brandon, Ashley, Jessica, Cory, Josh (Tina), and Kristin; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Bryce, R.J., Brooklyn, Henry and Aryale; three step-grandchildren, Chris, Kirk, and Nick. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Wilson and Eugene Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Rogers and Rev. Ron Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
