Depauw, IN Joyce Marie (Hartman) Ash, age 81, passed away peacefully at the Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon, Indiana on Tuesday July 10, 2018. She was born on June 23, 1937 in Central Barren, Indiana to Clarence Hartman and Ruth (Howerton) Hartman. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and three daughters: Dorcas Ash, Theresa Ash, and Gilda Ash Thompson.

Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a member of the Milltown and Ramsey Lion’s Club. Joyce was a retired teacher’s aide for the North Harrison Community School in the Special Education Dept. Joyce enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by two sons: Tim (Josie) Ash and Jeff (Angie) Ash. Two daughters: Denise (Rex) Griffiths and Stephanie Larsen. Two sisters: Sandra (Larry) Moore and Jean Cox. Seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service will be Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN with burial in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Love Funeral Home in Palmyra and after 9:30 a.m. Friday till time of service.
