Mary Anne (Barker) Tunnell, 87 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Odessa Cemetery Association. Mary was born on August 26, 1930 in Lafayette County, MO to William and Annie Marie (Hardin) Barker. She graduated in 1949 from Odessa High School. On September 4, 1949 she married Jack Donald Tunnell in Warrensburg, MO. Mary was a homemaker and spent most days working on the family farm and taking care of her family. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Mary enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivors include Mary’s husband, Jack Tunnell of Odessa, MO; two children, Donald Tunnell and Kim of Odessa, MO and Patty Dillon and husband Lyndon of Bates City, MO; three grandchildren, Sara Tunnell of Odessa, MO, Amanda Pinson and husband Derrick of Holden, MO and Meredith Harwood and husband Corey of Sibley, MO; four great grandchildren, Lane and Taya Harwood and Levi and Ava Pinson.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Barker and a sister, Novilla Slusher.
