Douglas Howard, age 86, entered into rest, Monday, July 9, 2018. He was born January 23, 1932 in Andalusia, Alabama, a son of the late Jim Howard and the late Osey Howard. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Plumerville, Albert Pike Memorial Scottish Rite Temple in Little Rock, Scimitar Shrines in Little Rock, lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a 32° Master Mason.
Survivors include daughter: Terri Lynn Ellis of Center Ridge; son: Doug Howard of Sherwood; grandchildren: Brandon Hubbard, Mandy Williams, and Cassie Howard; and six great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Russell officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
