Rosie was born July 28, 1932, in Ransom, Kan., daughter of Frank and Catherine Flax.
She was a homemaker and had lived in the area since 1995, coming from Plano, Texas. She was a member of Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church in Kimberling City.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Hicks; sons John Hicks, of Springfield, Joel Hicks, of Lima, Peru; daughter Julia Call, of Harlem, Ga.; brothers Paul Flax, of Hill City, Kan., Alfred Flax, of Wichita, Kan.; sisters Albertina Fehrbnbach, of Ness City, Kan., Agnes Richmeier, of WaKeeney, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
