Max Eugene Fletcher, age 69, died Monday, January 12, 2004 at his home in Yukon after a short illness. He was born August 26, 1934 in Olney, TX to Albert W. and Sybil D. Gregory Fletcher and grew up in Mexia, TX. He was a graduate of Mexia High School and attended Navaria Junior College. He worked many years in the oil field and retired from NL(Acme) Industries in 1985. After retirement he worked for McVickers Pipe Inspection and was presently a part owner and manger of ABV Co. He served his country in the 101st Airborn Division of the US Army and worked many years with the Boy Scouts of America and was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Bobby. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Shirley of the home, two sons Doug Fletcher and wife Debbie of Sandy, Utah, Jerry Fletcher of Shekou, Republic of China, and two grandchildren Robert and Laruen. Also by two sisters Roma Key of Waco, TX and Carolyn Roberts of Richardson, TX. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2004 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
