John Howell Bridges, Jr., age 59 of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 12, 1958, he was a son of the late Thelma Glaze and Dr. John Howell Bridges, Sr. Mr. Bridges proudly served his county in the United States Navy. He enjoyed traveling, watching the Turnerr Classic Movie channel, and old westerns. Mr. Bridges was an inspector with Kubota and member of the Demorest Federated Church.

Surviving are brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence & Ginger Bridges of Clarkesville; nephews, Blayne Cohran of Duluth and Cameron Cohran of Clarkesville.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Grady Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the United States Navy, Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, American Legion Post #84, and the DAV Chapter #15 with Rev. Grady Walden and Rev. Joyce Acree officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
