He was born October 27, 1945 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Daniel served three years in the United States Army in Vietnam and in the U.S as a diesel mechanic, moving after his service in 1969 to Palmer, Alaska until 2013 when he returned to Cheyenne. Dan, a Christian, also worked on farms, on the Alaska pipeline and was a civilian employee of the Federal Government.
Survivors include his sister, Julia (Mark), and brothers Jay (Joanne), Ben (Fern) and Sam (Bonnie).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orla and Furne Allen, and sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and John Moritz.
