John “Jack” Anton Theis, 77, of Rexburg, Idaho, formerly of Eden Valley, Minnesota, passed away July 7, 2018, surrounded by his family.

He was born February 8, 1941, in Eden Valley to John Peter and Mayme Brinker Theis. He grew up in the area with his 11 siblings.

He graduated from Eden Valley High School in 1959, and served in the United States Army Reserve.

Jack married Dianna Rossman on October 21, 1967, in Watkins, Minnesota. They had two children, Sherri Rae and John. They raised their family, and lived most of their lives in Minnesota.

In 2015, Jack and Dianna moved to Rexburg, Idaho.

Jack is survived by his wife Dianna of Rexburg; children, Sherri Rae (Dale) Hillier of Rexburg and John (Kimberly) Theis; four grandchildren, Madison and MacKenna Theis and Alec and Claire Hillier; siblings, Marylou Rose, Ron Theis, and Judy Martinsen. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bernice, Kate, Blondie, Bede, Irene, Frank, Elmer, Louie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, at the Stonebridge LDS Chapel, 475 East 7th North, Rexburg, Idaho, with Bishop Aaron Hancock officiating. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
