GROTON - Marjret F. Cornell, age 76, of Elm Street, Groton, NY, passed away Monday, March 22, 2004, after a brief illness. "Margie" was born Sept. 14, 1927 in Caroline, a daughter of the late Harry and Lena Finch Cornell. She was a life area resident and had been employed for a time at Challenge Industries in Ithaca and recently was associated with the Franziska Racker Center where she made many friends. She was well known at the Ithaca Youth Bureau and the Tompkins Day Services Adult Program.Survivors include her sister-in-law, Helen Cornell; many nieces and nephews; her close friends, Emma and Rex Lovejoy of Trumansburg and their family. She was predeceased by her sister, Lillian Cornell; and her brothers, Alfred L. Cornell, Sr., and Lester Cornell.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Charles Mulks Cemetery, Slaterville Springs, NY.
