POPE - Benjamin 'Pete' Hubbard, 89, retired merchant, farmer and school bus driver, died of heart failure Saturday at South Panola Community Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery east of Pope. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Mr. Hubbard leaves a daughter, Catherine H. Germany Mixon of Southaven; a son, Tony Hubbard of Pope; two sisters, Mary H. Moore of Batesville and Ida H. Estes of Jackson, Mo., and a brother, Dalton Hubbard of Vaiden. The family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
