Phyllis Harrison, 95 of Grand Island went to her Heavenly home, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Riverside Lodge.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 AM Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harrison was born October 18, 1922 at Wakefield, Nebraska the daughter of Luther and Agnes (Peters) Hypse.
She graduated from Wakefield High School class of 1940 then attended Van Sant Business College at Omaha. On November 9, 1947 she was united in marriage to George Harrison. They lived in Topeka, Kansas.
Phyllis was employed by the Menninger Foundation for 15 years. They moved to Omaha in 1956. While in Omaha she worked for Plough Pharmaceutical Animal Health Division. The couple moved to Grand Island in 1994.
Some of her enjoyments included reading, knitting, puzzles, butterfly and bird watching and collecting angels. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, George; daughter, Cheryl (Lesley) Bowden of Temecula, CA and son, David Harrison of Doniphan; grandchildren, Scott Harrison, Krista Finley and Lindsey Wiseman and Heather Bowden, Kelli Weber and Megan Wright; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Marilyn Hypse of Topeka, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Hypse.
