Daniel was a graduate of River Valley Community College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY. He was a mechanical engineer.
He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, birdwatching, photography, riding motorcycles and working on cars and motorcycles. He loved music, playing the guitar and harmonica. He built model cars and collected guns.
He is survived by his mother, Anita of Claremont; three brothers, George H. Welch and his wife, Teresa of Springfield, VT, Barry L. Welch and his wife, Shannon of Lempster and Darrell J. Welch and wife, Lisa of Claremont; two sisters, Wanda L. Welch and Paula J. Hewey both of Springfield, VT; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, George and two brothers-in-law, Gary and Richard.
Burial will be in West Claremont Burying Ground.
