Ezra Carpenter, 88 years of age, died at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. C. Sheldon, 1022 south West street. The deceased was well known In Kalamazoo. He was a member of the Orcutt Post, G .A. R., and was a captain in the civil war. He was also a member of Kalamazoo lodge No. 22, F. & A. M. Funeral announcement will be given later.
