Melvin Lamar Carroll, Sr., 65, of Highway 72 Calhoun Falls, SC passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Carroll was born September 21, 1932 Elberton, GA to L.M. Carroll and Macon Haynes Carroll. He was a retired granite polisher and attended Assembly Church in Hartwell, GA.

He is survived by sons: Melvin Lamar Carroll, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Jon Carroll of Athens, GA, Blake Carroll of Seneca, SC; step-daughter: Heather Nicole Holley of Westminster, SC; brother: Donnie Carroll, Sr. of Elberton, GA and his longtime companion Sylvia Harbert of Bowman, GA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only sister: Shirley Carroll Suttles and a brother: Roger Carroll.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Sunday, July 15 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Pastor Roland Molina officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home.
