Wilder, VT – Sheila F. Bean, 79, died Peacefully Monday September 11, 2017 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

She was born December 22, 1937 in Hanover, NH a daughter of Carl and Rose (Kaveny) Mock. Sheila graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1956 before beginning work at New England Telephone. She was married to Sam Fisk in 1958 and they made their home in Wilder where she has lived since. She later worked as office manager for Dr. Terry in White River Jct. where she worked until retiring after 27 years. Mr. Fisk died in 1989 and she was later remarried to Melvin Bean on August 2, 2003. They have spent winters in Destin, FL since.

Sheila was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing meals for large groups of family and friends. She enjoyed spending summer weekends at the Westenfeld family camp on Newark Pond and loved spending time in her beautifully kept flower gardens where she could make anything grow. Every evening at five o’clock sharp you could find her on her deck enjoying a glass of wine.

She is predeceased by a son-in-law Henry Westenfeld, her brothers Carleton and Harold Mock and sisters Elaine Stewart and Marjorie Smith.

She leaves her husband, Melvin of Wilder, VT and Destin, FL; daughters, Melanie Westenfeld of Wilder and Colleen Dunn of Hartland; grandchildren Tucker, Callie, Addie and Jake as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Hotel Coolidge in White River Jct. Sunday September 17th from 1-4PM including a time when people will have an opportunity to share remembrances.
