Mrs. Nichols was born in Donalsonville, GA on October 30, 1939 to Frank Long and Romie Braswell Long. She was a hairstylist and a member of Iron City Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Tonya Regina Hicks, Chris Hicks, and Tim Hicks; her grandchildren, Blake Hicks and Tristen Hicks; and her great grandchildren, Abigale Hicks and Holden Hicks. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Long Wallace.
Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Romie Braswell Long, her sister Bettye Ruth Long Hill and her brother Larry Lamar Long.
