Michael Paul Merritt passed from this life on Saturday July 7,2018 at the age of 62 years. Michael was born August 21, 1955 to his parents Jack Linton and Irene Marie (Barras) Merritt in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Michael and Mary Ellen Andreasen were married July 16, 1979 in Ada, OK. They have made their home in Ada since 1986. Michael was owner and operator of L.H. Supplies Co for many years. Michael loved playing baseball with his sons when they were younger as well as with his grand kids. Michael was a friend to everyone.
Although Michael is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include; his wife of 40 years, Mary Merritt of the home, 3 sons: Joshua, Jason and Aaron Merritt of Ada, Ok, 1 daughter; Jennifer Merritt of Ada, stepfather; Sam Jewell of Ada, Ok, 1 brother; Ken Jewell, of Ada, Ok and 1 sister; Karen Whelchel of Breaux Bridge, LA., mother: Irene Jewell of Breaux Bridge, LA, 4grand children: Colton, Ashlyn, Isaiah, Sabella along with a host of longtime friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Zac Christian officiating.
