Mrs. Revonda Polk Zellars, 75, of Islandton, entered into rest Friday afternoon, July 6, 2018, at the Lowcountry Assisted Living in Ehrhardt.
Born October 24, 1942, in Hampton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lucas Padgett Polk and the late Marvis Kicklighter Polk. She was a retired Bookkeeper form Melons, Inc. in Yemassee and following her retirement, for many years was an icon at the Walterboro Shoney’s. She was a lifelong member of Rice Patch Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Islandton. She was member of the Order of the Easter Star, Community Chapter No. 206, she was a Past Worthy Matron and had served as Secretary. Revonda will always be remembered as a sweet and loving person who dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was formerly married to the late Harold Timothy Zellars.
Surviving are: her daughter, Lisa Zellars Allen and her husband John of Ruffin; three grandchildren, Kyle Allen, Geoffrey Allen, and Cheyenne Allen; as well as a uncle, Mr. Russell Kicklighter and his wife Naomi of Islandton; and an aunt, Mrs. Iris Kicklighter Johnson of Islandton.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, July 9, 2018, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Larry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.
