Frank L. Price “Sparky” passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2018.

Frank was born in the Steel City, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1925, to Frank H. and Mildred Price. He was a loving and caring man who was always there to help his family and friends.

Frank graduated from Oliver High School where he was quarterback of the football team, played basketball and was president of his Senior class. Due to his father’s poor health, he worked in the steel mill at night to support his family. Later, he also boxed.

Frank served two tours of duty in the Navy during WWII as an air traffic controller and director of the athletic program.

A promotion to Regional Supervisor in consumer lending led Frank and his family to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1962. There, Frank was president of the Barbershop Chorus and a volunteer counselor at Primary Children’s Hospital for many years.

Frank was an avid Utes and Steelers fan.
He also made Santa Claus real for hundreds of children at parties and through visits to homes of friends.

After retirement, he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Frank was a counselor and administrator in the Drug Court Program for ten years.

Left to cherish his memory are Frank's daughter, Dee Thorell (Kent) Barnes; son, Gary (Sherrylee) Price; "significant other", Dawn; brother, Harris (Dorothy) Price; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank H. and Mildred Price, and brothers, Nip and Lou; also, former wife, Ann Bailey.

Frank wished to be cremated and his ashes be spread in Las Vegas where he loved living in his condo by the pool. The "Man of Steel" went down swinging and will be missed forever.
