Goodlettsville - James Robert Trotter has been carried by the angels to paradise where he will rest in peace to await the resurrection at the coming of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents James John and Ethel Gertrude Trotter and by his 1st wife Annie Kathrine Trotter.
He is survived by his wife Brenda June Trotter and her adult children David and Laura Adams; also survived by his children from his 1st wife: James Dale (Pam), Barbara Jean (James) Ladd, David Ray (Laurie), and Charles Dewayne; his sisters Sylvia Rochuba, Jane Puckett, and brother Andrew (Tricia).
James was a member of the Lords church and raised his family to be members also. He attended Whites Creek and later Dry Fork church of Christ which became the Joelton church of Christ. In later years he became a member of the Northside church of Christ where he attended for many years. In declining health he moved in with his son and daughter in law at their home in Smiley Hollow where he attended the Ivy Point congregation.
Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Avalon Hospice who ministered to James as well as his many prayerful well wishers.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Ivy Point church of Christ, 2705 Greer Road, Goodlettsville, TN on Saturday July 7th 2018 with visitation at 11:00 am and the celebration service at 12:00 noon.
