Darrell Duane Sims, age 72, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away on July 3, 2018, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Darrell was born on March 27, 1946, in Knoxville, Iowa.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; Beverly Rigel of Des Moines, brother; Rick of New Virginia, sister Debra of Madrid, two aunts; Sheryl Kersey and Vicki Rickabaugh, who were like his sisters, also Marilyn Ritter and her family, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; Robert Rigel, grandparents; (Rickabaugh), daughter; Lisa, and other relatives.
Darrell’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a private graveside service at Red Rock Cemetery in rural Marion County, Iowa.
