"Jesse E. Clark, 80, of 1537 Bryan, died this morning at the Chillicothe hospital, where he had been a patient one day.

Mr. Clark was born April 28, 1891 in Carroll County [sic], son of Chester and Louisa (Land) Clark. April 28, 1923, he married Laura Gillespie in Kansas City. She died in February 1970. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Mann of Chillicothe; three nephews, Charles Clark of Kansas City, Wallace Beever of Quincy, Ill., and Wayne Beever of Palmyra; two nieces, Mrs. Mildred Allen and Mrs. Velma Cleveland of Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 from the Lindley Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl Griffith will officiate. Graveside services will be Friday at 1:30 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, October 13, 1971
