Anita Jacob-Gilbert November 6, 2015 Anita Jacob-Gilbert, 44, of Solvay, passed away Friday at University Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of West Genesee High School and Onondaga Community College where she received a degree in criminal justice. Anita was a private investigator for 19 years with the Bellerdine Investigative Agency in Auburn. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed cooking. She loved her friends and family, especially her nieces. Anita was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Manuel Neves; paternal grandparents, Jose and Miquelina Jacob; and uncle, Michael Neves. Surviving are her parents, Horacio and Nelida (Neves) Jacob of Camillus; brother, Michael (Crystal) Jacob of North Syracuse; maternal grandmother, Maria C. Neves of Camillus; companion, Kenneth Carbone of Solvay; nieces, Alexandra and Camryn Jacob; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, November 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 13 at St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Anita will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Assn., P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
