Helen Dietz Lowery, 84, of Diamond City, passed away Monday, Jan. 26 (2015) in Harrison.

Services will be announced by family at a later date.

Helen was born Oct. 5, 1930, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Maria Keehn. After attending school in El Paso, the family moved to Los Angeles, California. A few years later, Helen moved to Sycamore, Illinois, which is where she met and married Billy C. Dietz.

In 1953, they moved to Memphis, Tennessee, to open a new business and raise their family. Helen worked in the Alumni Placement Office at Memphis State, now University of Memphis. She lost her husband in 1985 due to cancer, later moving to the Diamond City in 1988, where she married the late Bob Sutton.

Helen loved life, her family and friends. She enjoyed playing golf at Diamond Hills Country Club and also fishing and gardening.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; six of her siblings; husbands, Billy C. Dietz and Bob Sutton; and one daughter, Sharon Ann Dietz Gard.

Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Mary and husband, Jim Pike, of Shirley; sister, Carlo Aguirre, of La Mirada, California; four grandsons, Josh Pike (Shelley), Marty Fahr (Kristy), Chad Pike and Michael Fahr; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan Pike, Zane Pike, Abby Pike, Brody Fahr and Alexy Fahr, of the Memphis, Tennessee area.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Hills in Harrison and the American Cancer Society.
