"Richard Cosgriff Found Dead"
Richard H. Cosgriff, about 63 years old, and a resident of this district for about 20 years, was found dead Wednesday morning at his home, 4103 Highland avenue.
Jopha Goodner, a neighbor's daughter, went in to see how Mr. Cosgriff was getting along, just before school time, as he had not been well lately, and found him lying on his back with an empty coffee pot near his hand and the flames of a gas range burning full blast. It is believed that he died of heart failure, but that has not been definitely determined.
Very little is known about Mr. Cosgriff's relatives, although it is believed he has a sister in St. Paul, Minn., but from whom word has not yet been received, as to funeral arrangements.
As Mr. Cosgriff had made a will bequeathing his property to the Miami Elks lodge of which he was a member, in all probability the Elks will bury him here.
The time of services have not been announced. An inquest is slated for this afternoon before Coroner J. Elzie Owen.
